PBT - Progressing Ballet Technique

Last Sunday (8th October) I was continuing my development as a teacher and educator by taking part in a training course. I had a great time learning from Callie who leads the European training for Progressing Ballet Technique. Although I don't often teach a ballet class I really liked the look of the course before attending. I didn't realise how much I would enjoy learning about the classwork and how well it would fit within my work and my contemporary dance classes. We ventured through the Junior, Senior and Advanced programmes. All I can say is the junior was quite difficult never mind the Advanced.

"Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet".

I am super excited to start training my dancers and students in this technique. It has given me great ideas about how to develop my own exercises which I currently teach and adapt them along side this programme. October holidays aren't just for relaxing (which I have tried to do) they are for working hard and developing! Check out what it's all about by heading to the Progressing Ballet Technique Youtube page!

Watch this space, in a class very soon I will be defiantly using PBT as I am now a certified teacher.
